This miniature piece finished September 2008. It all started with two items and a box. The rusty mop bucket and dirty mop which I had found at a show earlier that year. I don’t know the artist’s name that created this, but for the price I paid I couldn’t have made one like it. An honest sale and a steal all in one! Once home, I rummaged through my own collection of minis, realizing every step of the way that anything and everything goes into a General store. I also found the unfinished letter holder which I had bought from a fellow club member. A unique piece, unsure how I would use it, till now! Hence the Post Office and General Store came to be. Countless hours later, I get the inside all buttoned up, but the outside just looks like a box. So, now I’m mounting the whole project on a platform, creating the sidewalk, personalizing the street lamp, creating the stairwell and bus stop…..I even have the barrels and checkers out front. Look real close and you’ll see the old Guy’s stogie, (another Pam original). All I need now are two old guys! So you see the project is never really finished. The imagination won’t allow that. This one is sold but can be recreated to your specifications.
